Rush Street Interactive Accrediation From Responsible Gaming Council

Rush Street Interactive, the innovative platform designers for the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse iGaming sites, announced Thursday that it had received accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council, affirming its commitment to sensible gaming.

The Responsible Gaming Council (RGC), an independent agency based in Toronto, helps gambling venues construct and monitor all aspects of the Responsible Gaming strategy. It encourages vendors like Rush Street Interactive to put responsible gaming measures at the center of their designs to promote smart decisions.

The accreditation is valid for three years and is meant to reassure players that industry leaders have their best interests at heart.

“Receiving RG Check Accreditation is a testament to our commitment and execution of RSI’s corporate social responsibility strategy, which includes the continued implementation of the Company’s responsible gaming initiatives,” said Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of RSI, in a statement.

“We want to ensure our valued customers and employees are equipped with the tools and resources necessary to help ensure a culture of safe, fair and fun gaming experiences.”

With Responsible Gaming, what does this mean to me?

It means that responsible players know that when they click on a BetRivers or PlaySugarHouse site that there are resources readily available to help with a potential gambling addiction.

RSI boasts that it’s only connected to regulated gaming markets, and one of the ways a discerning viewer can tell the difference between regulated and unregulated gaming platforms is the commitment to responsible gaming.

The news Thursday comes a few days before the RSI-backed BetRivers real money casino and sportsbook will go live in Ontario.

One of the standards the Canadian government mandated was that whatever operators enter the market be accredited by the RGC by 2024. RSI is two years ahead of the curve.

“RG Check is a clear demonstration that an operator prioritizes and embeds responsible gambling into the core of its operations. RGC commends and for achieving RG Check Accreditation,” said Shelley White, CEO of the Responsible Gambling Council.

“This achievement represents RSI’s commitment to transparency, player safeguards, duty of care and continuous improvement, as well as contributes to creating a culture of responsible gambling and sustainable play. RG Check is an invaluable tool for managing risk and increasing the effectiveness of RG programming. RGC is proud to provide continuous support to RSI’s harm minimization efforts.”

What a Rush throughout the states and Canada

Rush Street Interactive has been a developer of online, social, and land-based gaming products since it started in July of 2015.

It initially launched sites for the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. It has a distinctive design with a running tally of live winners scrolled down the right side of its site.

Through its two main online brands, RSI is now in the market in 13 different US states and maintains a presence in Colombia, giving it an international flavor.

RSI offers some of the most popular online casino games and land-based gaming products through its partner Red Tiger Games.

Earlier this week, the company announced the appointment of Bruce Caughill as Managing Director, Canada. Caughill worked as the Chief Legal Officer at the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, where he helped shape policy for Canada’s first legal, regulated iGaming industry.
