Club Serrano At Palms Is The Newest Vegas Casino Rewards Program

Club Serrano At Palms Is The Newest Vegas Casino Rewards Program

Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas is now open for the first time since closing in 2020. The casino hotel just off the Vegas Strip has a new owner and operator as well as a new casino rewards program for Las Vegas.

Palms will be the first Vegas casino owned by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians (San Manuel). After receiving approval to operate Palms in December, San Manuel quickly updated the property to be up to 2022 standards. San Manuel purchased Palms from Station Casinos in early 2021, so Palms will obviously no longer accept Station Casinos Boarding Pass rewards program.

San Manuel is the first Tribe that both owns and operates a Las Vegas casino. The Mohegan Tribe was the first casino operator in Las Vegas, but the Tribe does not own Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, where the Mohegan Sun casino is located.

The Tribe also owns and operates a successful and popular casino in southern California. Palms will be the second US casino to offer Club Serrano as its players reward program.

San Manuel’s Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, CA, will now be connected to a Las Vegas casino through Palms and Club Serrano.

The rewards program partnership is different from most in Las Vegas. There aren’t many Las Vegas casinos that are directly connected to California casino properties.

Most Palms customers will have to sign up for a Club Serrano rewards card. Some of the previous Palms rewards accounts will automatically become Club Serrano members.

Unless someone has an active Club Serrano account and card from California, they will have to visit the rewards desk for a new rewards card. Most guests visiting Palms will want to have a government ID on hand just in case. ID is required even if a player is printing an existing rewards card. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Las Vegas Club Serrano rewards program tiers

Like most Las Vegas rewards programs, Club Serrano has multiple tiers that offer different benefits for players. Club Serrano has four tiers for all players and one that’s invite-only.

Classic: Everyone
Emerald: 50,000 – 124,999 Tier Points
Amber: 125,000 – 249,999 Tier Points
Diamond: 250,000 Tier Points or more
Turquoise: Invite only

Similar to other tiered casino rewards programs, the benefits increase as a player climbs tiers. Upon opening, Palms is matching tiers with other Las Vegas casino rewards programs.

Las Vegas Club Serrano points

Tier Points, Slot Points, and Earned Points for Club Serrano at Palms can only be earned by gambling. This is a bit different for Las Vegas as many rewards programs now offer points for spending throughout the property.

Players will earn points by inserting the Club Serrano card into the reader at a machine game or by handing the dealer a card when buying into a table game.

Tier Points are earned at both table games and slot machines. Players can accumulate Tier Points from January 1 to December 31. Tier points will reset annually per calendar year. These points allow players to reach the higher tier status detailed above.

Slot Points are only earned when playing slot machines and other machine games like video poker and keno. Players can redeem Slot Points for free play at machine games.

Earned Rewards are obtained at both slot machines and table games. The Earned Rewards can be spent at most food and beverage, retail, and hotel outlets at Palms.

Earning Club Serrano points in Las Vegas

A player will receive 1 Slot Point and 1 Tier Point for every $1 wagered in slot machines at Palms. Like other rewards programs, Club Serrano Tier Points at table games are based on the game type, average bet, and time played.

Video poker is different for the two San Manuel properties. Video poker players at Palms will receive 1 Slot Point and 1 Tier Point for each $4 wagered. For comparison, $2 wagered on video poker at Yaamava Casino will receive the same amount of points.

Players can convert Slot Points into Free Play at Palms. The program will allow players to exchange 500 Slot Points for $1 in Free Play.
