Caesars Entertainment And Chicago White Sox Ink Gambling Deal

Caesars Entertainment ($CZR) is coming to the Southside. The company recently struck a deal to become the official gaming partner of the Chicago White Sox. 

The deal comes with access to official White Sox logos, LED signage, digital and social media assets, and exclusive White Sox promotions through the Caesars Rewards program.

Caesars operates the largest number of retail sportsbooks across the US and is an authorized partner of MLB. The company lives in 24 states — 17 of which allow for online casino gaming and sports betting.

Following the morning announcement, Caesars CEO Tom Reeg had this to say:

“It’s a perfect time for Caesars to align with an iconic franchise like the Chicago White Sox. Some of the most passionate sports fans in the country call Illinois home. Caesars can provide White Sox fans and sports fans across the state with the very best in sports experiences through our world-class resorts and the recent relaunch of the Caesars Sportsbook app now available for mobile registration.”

Fans can expect to see Caesars Entertainment and Caesars Sportsbook marketing efforts throughout Guaranteed Rate Field. Customers can download the app via Illinois sports betting remote registration and earn Tier Credits and Reward Credits with every bet.

Additionally, $CZR recently announced a new credit card allowing players to achieve a higher status with its rewards program. 

Another deal for Chicago sports teams

Brooks Boyer, chief revenue and marketing officer for the White Sox, didn’t disclose the deal’s financials. However, Boyer did recognize Caesars as an entertainment leader. 

“By teaming up with a globally recognized entertainment leader in Caesars, we are delivering the combined brand reputation and shared commitment to offer our fans an extraordinary sports and entertainment experience. With energized talent on the field, our partnership with Caesars enhances the excitement for our fans with new experiences and programs.”

Other Chicago sports teams have secured similar deals with casino and online gambling operators. The Chicago Bears have sports betting partnership with BetRivers Sportsbook.

The Bulls have an agreement with Betway, and Wrigley Field has a partnership with the DraftKings Sportsbook.

In February, the United Center announced plans to open a FanDuel Sportsbook, pending approval from the state gaming board. 

Caesars nor the White Sox made no mention of a sportsbook opening at the ballpark. Regardless, the news should have the legion of White Sox fans excited, considering the team’s recent success.
